SFA HORTICULTURE WANTS YOU!
.jpg)
Horticulture is the science, business and art of growing and marketing fruits, vegetables, flowers, and ornamental plants. Stephen F. Austin State University has a rich history in Horticulture and graduates from our program are highly sought after across the South by arboreta, botanical and public gardens and by the greenhouse, nursery and landscape industry. If you’re interested in a BSc or MSc in Horticulture we encourage you to make a visit. In terms of resources, SFA Horticulture is very hard to beat. There’s an enthusiastic teaching faculty, a great staff, and excellent horticultural facilities. The 20-acre SFA Mast Arboretum is right outside the back door of the Agriculture building and the 40-acre Pineywoods Native Plant Center is just a few minutes north; both provide students with exciting, real-world work experience. If you’re interested in working around great people and learning what it takes to be a good Horticulturist, well, we think SFA might just be the place for you!
